Rosneft Subsidiaries Release More Than 4.7 Million Fry of Valuable Fish Species into Russian Water Bodies in July

Rosneft has been working consistently for over 11 years to preserve biological diversity and replenish the country's aquatic bio-resources. In July, the Company's subsidiaries released more than 4.7 million young fish into Russian water bodies, including species listed in the Red Book.

In addition to employees of Rosneft's subsidiaries, volunteers from the Movement of the First, students from partner universities and children of employees participated in environmental campaigns to restock water bodies with fish.

In the rivers and water bodies of Siberia, employees of Tyumenneftegaz released 2.12 million muksun fry, Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazobydchaya - 1.23 million peled, Kharampurneftegaz - 50,000 nelma, RN-Purnegaz - 457,000 peled, 43,000 muksun and 2,000 nelma, SevKomNeftegaz - 357,700 nelma, Angarsk Petrochemical Company - 10,000 peled, and RN-Uvatneftegaz - 2,900 nelma.

Employees of the Novokuybyshevsk Refinery have replenished the biological resources of the Volga River with 11,000 sterlet fry. Samaraneftegaz released almost 9,500 juvenile fish of this valuable species, while the Saratov Refinery released 3,300.

The fry were raised and subsequently released based on scientific data on the most favourable conditions for their adaptation to the natural environment and further reproduction.

Preservation of the environment for future generations is an integral part of the Rosneft 2030 Strategy The Company and its subsidiaries aim to achieve leadership positions in minimising the environmental impact and ensuring the eco-friendliness of its production and implements several comprehensive programmes for the preservation and restoration of natural resources.

The employees of Rosneft subsidiaries actively participate in environmental campaigns and contribute to the development of a culture of rational and responsible consumption of natural resources. Volunteers from the Company's enterprises regularly clean and improve the banks of rivers, lakes and springs, and conduct environmental education classes in schools and preschools.
