All Olympic filling stations meet the highest world's environmental requirements and fit with modern equipment. Double-walled reservoirs for the storage of fuel make the percolation of oil products totally impossible, even in case of outer wall damage. There’re special waste water treatment facilities on site. Complexes are also equipped with a fuel dispenser with vapor output and gasoline vapor recovery systems (to condense vapor back to fuel).
Rosneft accords special priority to quality of petroleum products. The Company is gradually implementing the program of mobile laboratory team efficiency improvement. Among leading oil companies only Rosneft has a developed and successfully implemented single strategy for independent activity of mobile laboratories. To provide quality control of oil products mobile laboratories have been placed under management of RN-Inform service company (irrespective of sales). This allowed performing maximum efficient fuel quality evaluation.
The Company also puts an emphasis on energy conservation. Solar energy systems and LED lighting equipment have been installed during construction of filling stations. The use of these systems saves from 35,000 to 45,000 kWh of electric power per year. In sunny weather this module is capable to generate enough energy to maintain operation of office equipment, cash registers, server room, drives of automatic swing doors, and part of refrigeration equipment. As a result, it reduces environmental emission.
LED lighting equipment at filling stations does not only create cozy atmosphere, but reduces energy consumption. Besides long service life (15 years) and high coefficient of light output, LEDs ensure reliability. Lighting malfunction is almost impossible since there’s no starter current.
Yet another environmental initiative of the Company is represented by large-scale project, aimed at expansion of compressed natural gas usage as motor fuel. This fuel type has a lot of advantages. Compressed natural gas is free of sulphur impurities, and methane (the main component of CNG) is lighter than air, so it’s safer than gasoline.
Filling stations are also equipped with latest-generation electric car charging points capable of recharging vehicles in 15-20 minutes.
Rosneft jointly with Autogrill S.p.A opened A-Cafes at all Rosneft filling stations, where guests of the city and clients can enjoy services meeting high quality standards. The trained staff of the stations speaks English.
Each filling station has a minimarket and a bike parking onsite.
Autogrill S.p.A is the acknowledged leader in restaurant business. It manages a portfolio of 250 international and local brands, and quoted on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Rosneft opened “PZero Platinum” tyre shop in cooperation with Pirelli & C. S.p.А. It is located within the territory of Rosneft filling station in Sochi.
Pirelli PZero Platinum is a concept store, which is a unique project for Russia. It is worth noting that Pirelli company opens such flagship stores only in million cities, but an exception has been made for Sochi. Storage facilities of the tyre shop will simultaneously accommodate up to 1,000 tyres and 500 wheel discs. Furthermore, there will be third party tyres and wheel discs at PZero Platinum store for customer convenience.
Rosneft has a strong background of constructing filling stations with leading-edge safety and environmental technologies. Multifuel ecofriendly filling stations will be used during the Olympic Games in Sochi, and will become the part of regional infrastructure after.
