Rosneft sponsored an educational tour of the City of Professions at the KidZania children’s park for children who attend Moscow family support centres. Eighty children, aged between 4 and 17, took part in the tour.
During the tour, the schoolchildren visited several exhibitions, each of which provided an opportunity to learn about different professions.
At the Rosneft exhibition, the children explored three locations: the oil production section, the oil refinery and the filling station. The Company’s volunteers and centre instructors explained how the oil equipment worked. The children then had the chance to extract crude oil and send it for refining and to the laboratory for quality testing.
The schoolchildren also learned about the stages of oil refining before it is turned into petrol, diesel fuel and other petroleum-based products.
The children observed the process of transferring fuel from a tanker truck to the pumps and learned how the quality of the fuel is checked upon arrival.
The educational tour for children from Moscow family support centres to the City of Professions is part of the Platform of Good Deeds corporate volunteer programme and the Let’s Be Friends! social project, which is run by the Moscow Department of Labour and Social Protection.
For reference:
Volunteering is an important element of Rosneft’s corporate culture. The Company is developing a Platform of Good Deeds volunteer programme, under which employees provide assistance to families and children facing difficult situations, provide targeted assistance to veterans, and run campaigns promoting patriotism, environmental awareness, and more. In 2024, Rosneft enterprises conducted nearly 2,000 volunteer events and projects involving 106,000 employees.
