With the support of Rosneft, the Gubkinsky Arena multifunctional complex opened in Gubkinsky. The project was implemented under the Cooperation Agreement between Rosneft and the Government of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District. Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, was present at the ceremony.
The complex covers an area of over 6,500 m², and its central part is an ice arena with seating for 400 spectators. The Arena’s infrastructure is designed to facilitate year-round training in hockey, skating, choreography and winter sports competitions. The building comprises dance, gymnastics and training halls, coaching and conference rooms, a medical office, changing rooms and a skate and equipment rental shop. Two small ice rinks have been set up to provide training for young hockey players.
The complex is equipped with modern multimedia systems, allowing cultural and entertainment events, as well as light shows, to be held. The building’s facade is decorated with numerous decorative lighting elements. A large LED screen has been installed in the parking lot near the arena to broadcast the competitions, allowing residents and visitors to watch the action on the ice from their cars. The adjacent area also features outdoor sports machines.
Furthermore, the complex provides comfortable conditions for citizens with limited mobility, including special lifts and seats, necessary equipment, and sports gear.
The most advanced solutions, including a transformer substation, compressor equipment for preparing ice and ventilation units for maintaining the microclimate, ensure the efficient operation of the building’s engineering systems.
The new ice arena will be a significant attraction for the people of Gubkinsky and will provide a considerable boost to the city’s sporting life. Supporting mass, children’s and youth sports is one of the key areas of social work of Rosneft and its subsidiaries.
Rosneft supports projects in the regions of operation that develop and promote physical culture and healthy lifestyles. Rosneft’s support helped build various housing complexes and other important facilities in Gubkinsky, including a city hospital, an indoor ice rink, a children’s library, an art school, and the Neftyanik cultural centre.
