Fair remuneration for employees is the basis of the Company's personnel management system. Rosneft consistently implements a high social responsibility policy, including in terms of salaries and compensations.

When determining the level and structure of remuneration, the Company uses data from generally accepted payroll and compensation surveys, in which the largest oil and gas companies participate.

Also, the regional labor markets data are used to monitor the competitiveness of the Company employees’ wages with the purpose of their timely adjustment.

The Company has developed a systematic approach to determining the levels of remuneration and compensation packages for employees, taking into account the local specifics of the regions where Company's subsidiaries operate, including those located in the territories with adverse climatic conditions.

Rosneft pays a lot of attention to the motivation program based on the efficiency assessment of the employees' performance. An assessment is made for both the collective component and the individual contribution of each employee to the overall results. The personnel incentive system is aimed at achieving high operations results and increasing the labor productivity.

Rosneft has a reputation a most socially responsible employer. To improve the social security of employees, the Company has developed a standard Collective Labor Agreement, which includes the list of social benefits and guarantees provided to employees of the Company subsidiaries beyond the provisions of the Russian Labor Legislation.

Priority aspects included in the Template "Standard Collective Labor Agreement", are:

  • social support for large and poor families of employees;
  • social support for pensioners;
  • creation of conditions for recruiting and retaining personnel in the regions with adverse climatic conditions where the Company operates and at facilities with unfavorable working conditions;
  • support for employees experiencing a difficult life situation.

Rosneft pays particular attention to strengthening the partnership system with trade union organizations of its subsidiaries and the Rosneft Interregional Trade Union Organization.

Regular meetings are held between the management of the Rosneft personnel and social units and the trade union organizations of the subsidiaries to discuss issues concerning the Company personnel.

In general, the Company maintains a balanced policy in terms of labor remuneration, social benefits and guarantees for building efficient business.
