Rosneft Oil Company has introduced into the international market another seven products of corporate high-tech software line: RN-SIGMA, RN-GEOSIM, RN-VECTOR, RN-VISOR, RN-HORIZON+, RN-ROSPUMP and RN-SIMTEP.

Rosneft is the first Russian oil company that successfully creates its own software for geology, reservoir modeling, field development and operation. The Company’s software line consists of 16 products for the Upstream. The main developer of these high-tech IT solutions is the Research and Design Institute RN-BashNIPIneft.

Rosneft’s software solutions ensure process safety and effectiveness due to the use of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence methods. In terms of technical features, the Company's software is significantly superior to foreign analogues at a lower cost.

The Company’s first internationally tradable software was hydraulic fracturing simulator RN-GRID. This is the first industrial simulator in Eurasia that provides all the necessary engineering tools for hydraulic fracturing design and analysis. 28 Rosneft’s subsidiaries and 32 oilfield service and production companies successfully use the simulator in their fracturing activities.  As at the beginning of 2022, more than 400 commercial licenses have been sold, an agreement on the supply of RN-GRID to China has been signed.

High-tech software is highly-demanded by Russian universities. Eight universities of the country were granted 495 academic licenses for the use of Rosneft’s IT solutions free of charge.
