The key subjects of center activities will become technologies for gas monetization, oil refining and petroleum chemistry, including CNG (transformation of associated petroleum gas to GTL) and creation of new polymers, development of offshore and deep-water oil and gas fields, and EOR. In the center there will be created new technologies and solutions for appropriate protection of intellectual property.

Total downpayment to the centers from Rosneft and GE will amount to 20 million US dollars on a parity basis. The Parties will provide additional combined funding of 50 million US dollars when certain tasks are set. The Parties are going to jointly invest to the centers up to 400 million US dollars through 2020.

Created centers will help Rosneft to keep high performances of land-based mining and quickly investigate the Arctic shelf of Russia with the use of state-of-the-art and safe technologies.
