Statement of the Company
30 July 2023Regarding the announcement of the lifting of U.S. sanctions imposed on the former First Vice President Didier Casimiro, the Company states the following.
We are satisfied with the decision of the US regulator, which once again confirms that the sanctions were fundamentally illegal and unjustified. The Company continually operates within the existing legal framework, defending the interests of shareholders and seeking the lifting of illegal sanctions, particularly indicated by the failure of the lawsuit filled by the Colombian Caballero, who made preposterous allegations against Rosneft Trading S.A. in the U.S. court.
Didier Casimiro is a recognized professional with undisputed authority in the oil and gas industry. He has two higher degrees and speaks seven languages. For more than 16 years, Mr. Casimiro held executive positions at bp, and for many years he successfully and productively worked in Russia and particularly in PJSC Rosneft Oil Company.
