Rosneft Team Secceeds in the Moscow Marathon Corporate Relay Race

28 September 2026

The Rosneft team was awarded the silver medal in the corporate relay at the Moscow Marathon. The Company is participating in one of the country's premier running events for the thirteenth consecutive year, consistently achieving exceptional sporting results.  This year, the marathon has attracted a record number of athletes – over 60,000 people from Russia and neighbouring countries. The athletes completed the renewed route through the capital's main streets and embankments: the race started on Vorobyevskaya Embankment and finished at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex.  The corporate relay race followed the main marathon route. The 42.2 km course was divided into five segments, each ranging from 5 to 7 km. Each team member completed their segment of the race, passing the relay ribbon to their teammates.

The competition saw 147 teams compete for the top spot, representing Russia's leading companies as well as running communities made up of both amateurs and professionals. The Rosneft team completed the race in 2 hours, 18 minutes and 37 seconds.  The Company’s team demonstrated a marked improvement over last year's result, shaving 2 minutes and 4 seconds off their time. Their average pace over the course also reached 3 minutes and 17 seconds.

In 2026, the Rosneft team at the Moscow Marathon was represented by Sergey Tsvetkov (Verkhnechonskneftegaz), Ivan Arshinov (Orenburgneft), Alexander Izmaylov (Verkhnechonskneftegaz), Maxim Dyakonov (Samaraneftegaz) and Tamila Litvinova (VNIKTIneftekhimoborudovanie).

A Rosneft corporate marquee was set up to support the athletes, where all the Company's staff were invited to eat or take a break before or after the race.

Supporting mass, professional and youth sports and healthy lifestyles is one of the key areas of social work of Rosneft and its subsidiaries. The Company funds the construction of ice arenas, sports complexes and multi-purpose sports grounds in the regions of its operations.

Rosneft operates Energy of Life, a corporate sports and wellness initiative that brings together over 134,000 employees. It is estimated that over 96,000 employees participate in competitions in various sports, company-wide events, challenges, and tournaments at regional and national levels.
