With support from Samotlorneftegaz (a subsidiary of Rosneft), a block-module skiing base for the School of Olympic Reserve has opened in the village of Solnechnyy in the Surgut District of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District. The project aims to ensure equal opportunities for residents of both cities and remote settlements and is being implemented under a cooperation agreement between Rosneft and the Government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District—Yugra.
To support the training of current ski teams and the development of future talent, the new complex features comfortable locker rooms, coaches’ offices, first aid rooms, equipment storage and distribution areas, as well as terraces with convenient access to the ski stadium. The modules, ranging in size from 155 to 400 square meters, are made of thermal insulation materials resistant to low temperatures and equipped with modern utility lines. The modular design of the facilities made it possible to quickly expand the network of sports centers across the region, which operate year-round and serve as multifunctional recreational areas.
The opening of the ski base in Solnechnyy is a part of a large-scale project to build training facilities in Yugra and promote winter sports. Similar bases will open in cities such as Uray, Raduzhny, Pokachi, and Nyagan. A total of nine facilities will be opened within the district.
Ski resorts have already been built in Khanty-Mansiysk, Surgut, and the villages of Alyabievsky in the Sovetsky District and Poikovsky in the Nefteyugansk District. In 2025, more than 150,000 residents of Yugra visited these facilities, including athletes from the region’s national teams. Besides that, with the Company's support, seven snowmobiles were provided to regional ski organizations to maintain training and competition venues.
Supporting popular, professional, and youth sports, as well as a healthy lifestyle, is one of the key priorities of the social policy of Rosneft and its subsidiaries. The Company is using its funds to build multi-purpose sports facilities and improve the infrastructure of local sports schools in the regions where it operates.
With Samotlorneftegaz’s support, a modern complex for sports, outdoor recreation, and patriotic education for the younger generation was built on the grounds of Izluchinskaya School No. 1 in the Nizhnevartovsk District in 2025. At the Yugra Olympic Reserve Boarding College in Khanty-Mansiysk, the flooring in the weight training and gymnastics areas has been completely renovated. It covers a total of 900 square meters. Uniforms and sports equipment were purchased for 120 students.
Thanks to the Company's involvement, motorcycle racing is also thriving in the region. The Sovetsky District's sports and recreation complex has added eight modern professional bikes to its fleet. It has taken the preparation of athletes for national competitions to a whole new level.
