6 April is traditionally celebrated worldwide as International Sports Day. Rosneft supports both amateur and mainstream sports. The Company carries out extensive work to encourage sport and a healthy lifestyle among its employees and the local populations in its regions of operation.

Rosneft teams also performed well at a national level in 2025, achieving podium finishes in the Moscow Marathon and the Ironstar Sochi Sirius triathlon.
Every year, the Company organises winter and summer sports games, bringing together thousands of athletes from across Russia. These competitions were first held in 2005 and have been an integral part of Rosneft’s corporate culture ever since. One of the largest corporate events in 2025 was the 20th anniversary Summer Sports Games, which attracted around 3,000 participants from 74 enterprises.
Oil industry athletes competed for the title of strongest in 18 team and individual disciplines, including five-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, chess, powerlifting, swimming, billiards, tug-of-war and shooting, as well as athletics relays and races.
The 2026 Rosneft Winter Sports Games saw 650 athletes from 41 teams take part. They competed in the three most popular winter sports: ice hockey, cross-country skiing and biathlon.
Rosneft also provides comprehensive support for professional sports. The Company has been the principal sponsor of LADA Sport ROSNEFT since 2015. During this period, the team has achieved impressive results, winning 49 championship titles. These include victories in the Silk Way Rally and in all classes of circuit racing, classic rallying and karting.
This partnership has made LADA Sport ROSNEFT a leader in Russian circuit racing and has introduced the automotive market to innovative products such as the high-octane Pulsar-100 petrol and Rosneft Magnum Racing motor oil.
Rosneft is making a significant contribution to popularising ice hockey among children and young people and developing this sport in the country. The Company’s enterprises are providing support for the construction of cutting-edge ice rinks and the organisation of large-scale amateur competitions. Rosneft has owned the CSKA hockey club since 2011.
During this period, CSKA has re-established itself as the strongest team in the Russian league, winning the Gagarin Cup three times and the Russian Championship five times. Meanwhile, its junior and youth teams are consistently recognised as the best in their respective age groups.
Rosneft also supports major Russian and international competitions. The Sambo World Championships in Kyrgyzstan, the Asian and Oceania Sambo Championships in Uzbekistan, and the Sambo World Cup in Tajikistan and Armenia were all successfully held in 2025. Furthermore, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) hosted the 12th Russian Mas-Wrestling Championship in March 2026, to mark the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
