Rosneft's energy workers celebrate their professional holiday with new production achievements.
Improvement of production asset efficiency is one of the key components of the Rosneft's strategy. In 2025, the Company's enterprises implemented over 42,000 energy-saving measures, reducing energy consumption by 317,000 tonnes of standard fuel equivalent, which is more than RUB 7.8 billion in monetary terms.
This result stems from a systematic approach to rational energy resource utilization at all stages—from well drilling to outdoor lighting at production facilities. Thanks to the high level of expertise of the Company's specialists, the energy management system of Rosneft's production facilities is constantly being improved.
The primary contribution to enhancing energy efficiency and ensuring reliable power supply to production facilities comes from measures at the Company's exploration and production enterprises.
Udmurtneft, Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha, Verkhnechonskneftegaz, Vostsibнeftegaz, and RN-Krasnodarneftegaz achieved high energy efficiency indicators by optimizing mechanized operations, introducing pumps with higher efficiency ratings, energy-efficient motors and heating thermostats, and installing automated lighting control systems. Samotlorneftegaz implemented 1,900 measures that saved approximately 230 million kWh. The economic impact exceeded 1.1 billion rubles.
Energy specialists at the Company's refining and petrochemical complex—Kuibyshev Refinery, Novokuibyshevsk Petrochemical Company, Novokuibyshevsk Refinery, and Komsomolsk Refinery—reduced energy resource consumption through production modernization, process optimization, and implementation of energy-efficient equipment.
Specialists from Rosneft's scientific and engineering division in 2025 met the Company's enterprises' needs for energy facility design, development of prospective energy supply schemes, and provision of engineering services. They designed over 615 km of overhead power transmission lines with voltages of 35-220 kV, electrical substations with a total capacity of 370 MVA, and thermal generation facilities with a combined capacity of 13 MW. Conceptual design solutions were developed for constructing standardized modular power plants based on domestically manufactured gas turbine units with individual capacities ranging from 6 to 25 MW. The key project involved Russia's largest oil pumping station, including power supply for over 1,000 electrical consumers, cable lines, and overpasses with a total length of 1,500 km.
To meet growing energy demands, new energy facilities were commissioned at the Company's new fields in 2025. They are equipped with modern Russian-manufactured equipment adapted for uninterrupted operation in harsh climatic conditions, with automation that also reduces the need for personnel presence.
Bashneft launched the first digital substation, Mirnaya, in the Republic of Bashkortostan, rated at 110 kV. Samotlorneftegaz commissioned a new electrical substation with voltage classes of 110/35/6 kV and a capacity of 40 MVA. Tyumenneftegaz at the Russkoye field commissioned the 110 kV PSP Zapolyarnaya electrical substation with an installed capacity of 2x16 MVA and a boiler house with an installed capacity of 232 MW. RN-Vankor commissioned a new 110 kV Tagul electrical substation, while RN-Uvatneftegaz commissioned two new highly automated mobile 110 kV substations and a 35 kV substation. Udmurtneft launched a dual-transformer 35 kV electrical substation. At the Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoe field, Vostsibнeftegaz commissioned two electrical substations.
Reliable and efficient operation of the electric power industry is the foundation for the progressive development of the country's economy.
We congratulate our colleagues on Power Engineers' Day!
