Samotlorneftegaz, one of Rosneft’s key production assets, has commissioned a mobile unit to provide a specialised solution for geological, technical and well workover activities. The unit enhances the economic efficiency and environmental performance of oilfield service operations by eliminating the withdrawal of water from natural sources.
The 350 m3 per day unit is integrated into the reservoir pressure maintenance system, enabling produced water to be used instead of natural water. The modular design incorporates specialised units comprising pumps, equipment for preparing solutions and dosing reagents, as well as mixing and storage tanks. There is also a trestle for shipping the finished solution.
The production cycle is fully automated. This significantly reduces preparation time while improving the quality of the solution. All the equipment is produced domestically and is highly resistant to temperature fluctuations in Siberian climatic conditions.
Rosneft pays utmost attention to innovation, recognising the technological leadership as an essential element for competitive performance on the oil market. The Company is also implementing a number of large-scale environmental programmes to minimise its environmental impact and improve the sustainability of its operations.
