The Ufaorgsintez petrochemical plant (Rosneft subsidiary) received three diplomas in the National Product Quality Competition*. The experts took note of the plant’s products: isopropyl benzene, «Bashkir polypropylene» balene and ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM).

The plant’s products and operations were evaluated according to a number of criteria: quality of raw materials used, compliance of product characteristics with declared state standards or technical specifications, production volume, state of production infrastructure, experience and competence of personnel, efficiency of the quality management system, and others.

Ufaorgsintez isopropyl benzene has no analogues in Russia and exceeds world quality standards with a purity of 99.97%. This product is the basis for organic synthesis in the production of phenol and acetone, which are used in almost all branches of heavy and light industry in the country.

Balene is also widely used in the automotive, electrical and light industry, in instrumentation, in medicine (including the manufacture of masks and protective suits), in the manufacture of all types of packaging, and in polymer pipes. Strength indicators allow special grades of polypropylene to be used in the manufacture of pressure pipes for hot water supply.

Ufaorgsintez is the only manufacturer of EPDM rubber in Russia, which is used in the production of various types of cables, bicycle and car tyres, transport tapes, sealants, adhesives and oil additives, roofing materials and much more.

Winning the competition among hundreds of participants from all over Russia confirms the high quality level of Ufaorgsintez products and the high potential of import-independent production. The plant can now use the logo of the National Quality Organisation for labelling, including on the quality passports of the enterprise’s products.
