New Sports Complex Built with Rosneft’s Support in Yugra

A new sports complex has been opened in Sytomino settlement in Surgut, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District—Yugra. The funds for its construction were allocated by RN-Yuganskneftegaz as part of a cooperation agreement between Rosneft and the government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District—Yugra.

Promotion of mass sports is one of the key areas of social commitment of Rosneft and its subsidiaries. The Company funds the construction of ice arenas, sports complexes and multi-purpose sports grounds in the regions of its operations. Rosneft supports amateur and professional sports.

The Sytomino complex has the capacity to meet the sporting needs of the settlement’s 1,500 inhabitants. With an area of over 660 square metres, the sports centre has a multi-purpose hall for competitive sports, a gym, a medical room, changing rooms, showers, administrative offices and technical facilities.

The state-of-the-art flooring in the multi-purpose hall makes it safe and comfortable for volleyball, basketball, indoor football and martial arts. The complex is equipped with a modern ventilation system and CCTV cameras, and fire safety is ensured.

RN-Yuganskneftegaz implements important social projects in the area of its operations. Construction of cultural, leisure and sports complexes, healthcare facilities, kindergartens and schools, stadiums and sports grounds is financed under the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District—Yugra and Rosneft.

The Company funded the construction of a multi-purpose sports complex and a dormitory for girls at a boarding school in the Ugut settlement of Surgut District, where a third of the population consists of indigenous minorities of the North.

A new ski base of the Olympic reserve school was built in the Mezhdurechensky settlement, Kondinsky District.

The Neftyanik stadium and the aerobics and cycling halls in the Olympus sports complex in Nefteyugansk were renovated, with an attendance of about a thousand people.

The Delfin Water Centre, a favourite recreational and health centre for residents of Pyt-Yakh, opened its doors to visitors after a major refurbishment.

Recreational areas with sports grounds and fitness equipment are being improved in the cities and towns of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District.
