The oils plant in Angarsk belongs to Angarsk Petrochemical Company, which is East Siberia's largest company in terms of  refining throughput, petroleum and petrochemical product output.

The plant has a fully integrated process cycle in place to produce lubricants, including base oils production out of petroleum feedstock (road tar, vacuum distillates), commercial oils blending and packaging. Base oils are produced using both solvent and hydrocatalytic processes which are based on domestic catalysts made by Rosneft Subsidiaries.

The output of Oils Plant of Angarsk Petrochemical Company includes over 100 commercial products (with account for grades and assortment):

  • passenger car oils:
    • engine oils,
    • gearbox oils,
    • service fluids;
  • commercial transport and machinery oils,
    • engine oils,
    • gearbox oils,
    • marine oils,
    • locomotive oils;
    • hydraulic oils;
  • industrial oils:
    • hydraulic oils,
    • compressor oils,
    • power equipment oil,
    • industrial unformulated oils;
  • base oils.

One of the plant's most popular products is a GK hydrocracking transformer oil which is used for power equipment operation in energy industry. The high quality and unique performance of GK oil was proved by its 30-year production track record, and by international certificates, including the certificate issued by TUV (Austria) assuring compliance with the Standard of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC 60296:2012), and the one issued by Laborelec (Belgium) independent laboratory assuring compliance with the requirements of the global major consumers of power equipment oils.

In 2015, the  Oils Plant of Angarsk Petrochemical Company produced over 208 kt of commercial oils.

Angarsk Petrochemical Company's Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Integrated  Management System is certified by the international certification authority BUREAU VERITAS Certification for compliance with the international standards ISO 9001, ISO/TS 29001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

The plant has a system in place for multi-stage quality control at each life-cycle phase of its products, which provides for making over 220 ths. tests per annum.  Control is executed using advanced equipment which ensures a high test accuracy, thus preventing shipment of off-spec products to customers.

The oils plant has a considerable logistic advantage when shipping products to East Siberia and Far East, as well as exporting to APR countries.
