The Far East LNG project is being implemented in order to monetize gas under the Sakhalin-1 Production Sharing Agreement (PSA). Project participants: ExxonMobil (30%, project operator), Rosneft (20%), ONGC Videsh Ltd. (20%), and SODECO (30%).

The project involves construction of an LNG plant in the Russian Far East with a capacity of 6.2 mmtpa, as well as a seaport for LNG shipments and associated gas transportation infrastructure.
