The Corporate People Review System has been successfully functioning in Rosneft since 2005. The system is governed by the competency-based approach. Assessment is made using the corporate, managerial, professional-technical competences.

The current assessment system enables achieving the meaningful business objectives:

  • Company personnel training and development planning;
  • Employee screening for the Company succession pool purposes;
  • Expert community development;
  • Provision of relevant information to management on the development level of personnel competences, to facilitate personnel decisions in the course of staff recruitment and promotion.

Employees are assessed using the advanced methods adopted at global majors - testing, personality questionnaires, competency interviews, assessment centers, assessment business games, 360° appraisal, etc.

The Company has a continuous process in place, to improve the assessment system and develop workers, specialists and top managers. For this purpose, the following tools has been developed and are in use:

  • professional and technical competences and assessment tools pertaining to Geology and Reservoir Management, Production, Offshore Projects, Refining, Personnel Management, Design and Survey, Oil Product Supply, Logistics and Transport, Economics and Finance etc.;
  • professional standards, testing and assessment materials for key professions in production, refining and oil product supply;
  • tools for assessing managerial competences of top managers and candidates to the Company's Succession Pool.

The outcomes of the review procedures are factored in when preparing individual development plans, and made basis for planning the Company personnel training and development activities.
