Interaction with Interested Parties

Ongoing and efficient interaction with interested parties is among the core aspects of Rosneft’s sustainable development and corporate responsibility policies. Interested parties are legal entities and individuals that may be significantly affected by the Company’s operations and may, in their turn, affect Rosneft’s operations and implementation of its business strategy.

The key interested party groups are:

  • Rosneft employees and their associations (labor unions, councils, etc.);
  • shareholders and investors;
  • wholesale and retail consumers of oil and petroleum products;
  • federal and regional suppliers;
  • state authorities and oil industry regulators;
  • local authorities and communities in the host regions (general public, youth, environmental and other non-government organizations, organizations of Northern indigenous communities, etc.);
  • educational establishments involved in training workforce for the Company.

Regular roundtable meetings in the Company’s priority regions of operation are among the key means of interaction with interested parties. During such meetings, top managers of Rosneft and respective subsidiaries as well as local government officials and representatives of regulatory bodies, educational establishments, and non-government organizations tackle various issues related to Rosneft’s activities in a particular region, cooperation outlook, and contribution to local social and economic development. In 2010, this initiative expanded to involved 9 host regions, in 2011 – in 15 regions.
