Rosneft strives to create a safe and healthy working environment for its employees, as well as to reduce the risk of industrial accidents and other mishaps. Seeking to minimize accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses, the Company continuously adopts global best practices in the area of industrial and occupational safety.

The Company employees regularly participate in training programs to share knowledge and experience on labor safety and injury prevention. In addition, Rosneft actively collaborates with governments at all levels and public organization on various issues of industrial and occupational safety.

Rosneft pays particular attention to reducing industrial injuries. In 2009, Rosneft and its subsidiaries spent a total of RUB 2.0 bln on industrial and occupational safety. Spending on emergence prevention, fire and radiation safety was about RUB 3.5 bln.
