In February 2010 Rosneft announced the results of the annual independent audit of its hydrocarbon reserves performed by DeGolyer & MacNaughton.

An official ceremony took place on August 21 to mark the beginning of commercial production of crude oil at the Vankor field in Krasnoyarsk Territory. Field development is being carried out by the largest Russian oil company, Rosneft.

Rosneft was awarded the General Partnership of 2014 Olympics in ‘Petroleum’ category.

In the run-up to the New Year holidays, Rosneft President Sergey Bogdanchikov commented on the Company’s preliminary results for 2008 and development outlook in an interview to the Vesti TV channel.

Rosneft ranked 6th in the Platts 2008 “Top 250 Energy Companies” list, which is the highest rank among Russian companies.
