Stavropolneftegaz

Stavropolneftegaz is an integral part of Rosneft’s reserve base in Southern Russia. It was founded in 1992 as a regional oil and gas producing enterprise and operates in the Stavropol region.

Stavropolneftegaz is currently exploring and developing 37 licensed blocks, of which 33 are already engaged in oil and gas production. As the majority of its fields are significantly depleted, the company extensively employs advanced recovery techniques to ensure stable production efficiency.

The company’s crude is first transported by rail to Transneft’s transshipment hub for further export either via Transneft’s Black Sea terminals or the CPC pipelines. Alternatively, crude oil can be delivered for processing to Rosneft’s Tuapse Refinery.

In 2008, Stavropolneftegaz produced 1.04 mln tonnes (7.6 mln barrels) of crude oil, which is 3% less compared to 2007.
