Temryuksko-Akhtarsky Block

The Temryuksko-Akhtarsky block is located offshore on the Sea of Azov shelf in Temryuk Bay in the Krasnodar region. A joint venture, Priazovneft, has been set up to explore and develop the block. It covers an area of 5,400 square kilometres at a depth of 10 metres.

Project ownership structure:

  • Rosneft – 57.5%
  • Lukoil – 42.5%

In 2007, the Novaya field was discovered as a result of drilling of a directional prospecting and appraisal well at a suite bearing the same name. 325 linear km of 2D seismic work was carried out at the Temryuksko-Akhtarsky block in 2012. The results have been processed and interpreted.

In 2013, works relating to preparation to drilling of exploratory wells continued under southern seas projects. Within the boundaries of Temryuksko-Akhtarsky licensed block geological engineering survey works were commenced at the drilling site of appraisal well Geologicheskaya-1.
