Born in 1951. Graduated from Tyumen Industrial Institute and Academy of National Economy under the Council of Ministers of USSR. Doctor of economics.

From 1993 ã. – General Director of OJSC Surgutneftegaz.

Member of the Board of Directors of Rosneft from June 2009.

Vladimir Bogdanov is member of the Board of Directors of OJSC Surgutneftegaz and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CJSC SNGB.
