Domestic Sales of Crude Oil and Gas

In the domestic market, crude oil is sold mainly to local consumers in Rosneft’s production regions. Rosneft sold 1.2 mln tonnes (8.8 mln barrels) of crude oil on the domestic market in 2010 (excluding volumes sold to counterparties under swap agreements).

Since Gazprom holds the sole right to export Russian gas, Rosneft does not deliver gas abroad. The major portion of gas produced by Rosneft is sold directly to Gazprom, while the remainder is supplied to Russian independent regional gas traders or independent industrial consumers. In any event, the gas passes through the Unified Gas Supply System and other Gazprom-managed pipelines. The Company sold 9.8 bln cubic meters of gas in 2010. Of the total 4.5 bln cubic meters were delivered to gas-processing plants, 3.8 bln were taken by industrial enterprises, and the remainder was sold to households.
