Personnel

At the end of 2008 Rosneft and its subsidiaries employed a total of 161,912 people. Rapid development of the Company led to increase of personnel during 2008 compared to the previous year in all main segments (oil production, refining and marketing). Compared to 2007, in 2008, the share of personnel involved in hydrocarbon production reduced to 21.8%, while the share of marketing and refining personnel increased to 19.8% and 17.3%, respectively.

In 2008, the average age of Rosneft employees was 40. Executive positions were held by 21,500 employees (13.3%).
